DARK BEER BRANDING PROJECT.
BLK LUNA was created to capture the best tasting dark beers. We want to give beer drinkers more options by introducing seasonal black beers. We want to eliminate the bad taste that many may have about a dark beer by illuminating it's dark essence.
Theme: Perception VS Reality
Branding opportunity while at Captify. Captify was a sponsored corporate partner this year. Advertising Week gave Captify its own activation space in the middle of it all! Advertising Week is a 4 day event filled by over 100,000 people from around the world with big celebrities in the line up to discuss the world of Advertising. This year it was Will Smith and Emma Stone.
I got the opportunity to lead branding and branding experience at the event. I worked closely with Track Marketing Production to achieve all our of branding goals at the event space (AMC Lowes Theatre) , also with the UK Captify Marketing team to come to this final result! I not only designed the visual concept for the event, but helped managed all vendors to ensure the experience was memorable. I retrieved vendors like tasty food catering, a cool magician and amazing group of mixologist! The event was an amazing opportunity to showcase Captify’s brand awareness in New York and such a success for the company.
First editorial design: Article written by September Broadhead.
Writer: September Laura

September is a sick graphic designer, photographer & serious writer!
Being one of my closest friends, she was so kind to let me showcase her work in my portfolio. It was great to embrace my friends work in a way I thought embraced her words and my artwork.
Concept:
I wanted to create my own Rorschach test. I was inspired by seeing any image and seeing what each interpreter can see or make out of it, a point September makes in her article. I created many ink blots to get the opening spread image. I saw many interesting things, can you?
I filled the corners of the interior page with my own ink blots that I created in a gold color, relating to Andy Warhol's original Rorschach piece that was hung in the MoMa. I chose a typeface that was condensed to make you concentrate on the space between each letter.

Editorial Design 2: Ruby Rose
Concept: Inspired by the amazing actress/model/DJ Ruby Rose. Play on red’s hence her last name!
Editorial Design 3: Miley Cyrus
Concept: Miley Cyrus is the right rebel image I wanted for this mock of Harpers Bazar magazine spread. The quote “I’m not scared of anything” was the inspiration for this editorial so I kept a dark feel through out using black / greys / and strong imagery of Miley!
DEFTONES- AROUND THE FUR
MEDIUMS: Photography/Digital Collage/Typography
CONCEPT: Fur coat was found by lead singer of the band in California while on tour. He was amazed by this beautful fur coat but noticed while he put it on that it was a dead animal he was wearing. This concept blossoms of the thought of something so beautful on the outside is yet so ugly in the inside.
FRANK STELLA Exhibit at the Whitney Museum
CONCEPT: Exaggerated imagery. Inspired by the forms and colors the artist showcased.
Growing up I was introduced to many styles of music. My older brother opened up my mind to listening to all different kinds of music like Pink Floyd, The Smiths, and Wu-Tang Clan. I chose to re-design an iconic album, Enter the Wu-Tang: 36 Chambers. This was Wu-Tang Clan's first premiere album. I got so inspired by the gritty sounds and hardcore lifestyle, I wanted to embrace the struggle. I linked up with photographer George Matos to do a light project with typography! We shot right under the Manhattan bridge at night to capture these amazing shots! We formed the letters of the group and I was very happy with it. I used original artwork for the CD disc and used yellow as the color of choice, being that there infamous logo is in yellow. I wanted to keep that iconic feeling alive, but introduce a new way of seeing there name.
Books: Gulliver's Travels & The Fellowship of The Ring
MIXED MEDIUMS:
Acrylic Paint/Collage/Digital Design
Movie Poster Design for the movie Being There.
CONCEPT:
The concept behind this project grew from really taking the emotions of the leading character and showcase his inner brightness, being that he wasn't considered "bright" to the society. Peter Sellers plays a gardener in the movie, so I was used a floral design collage, and embraced typography.
Packaging Design for a Tea brand. Native Tea has three products. Green tea, Lavender tea, and Peppermint tea. Each tea comes with an i.d tag to represent how the tea should make you feel. For example, Lavender tea gives you prosperiTEA. A play on the TEA word. Be NATIVE to what you know & feel. Activate your senses.
ABC Furniture is one of my favorite furniture shops in New York City. It's a high-end artistic brand that embodies detail and texture. I created a series of Postcards to embrace a culture. The Creator, The Risk-Taker, The Dreamer are all characters I saw for this brand. This can continue to become an on going theme going forward for the brand to show an appreciation for their audience. I took original photos from there website of each piece of furniture, and wanted the detail in the texture to be the star of this project. I created quotes in the back of the card to explain who each character is and a full photo of the piece of furniture in front of card.
CONCEPT: Organized Chaos
My logo consist of three elements. Texture, form and type. I wanted to showcase the T form and explore what can be contained within it. The art within the T is from my own handcrafted brush stroke which I used Acrylic paint to show as much texture as I can. I believe that texture is the foundation of my passion of work. The idea of something uncontrolled, in a controlled space, inspired me to leave the T as an unfinished form, that way the texture can complete it making one balanced shape.

Smoking awareness towards young teens, targeting self-esteem. As a woman growing up, I faced many self-esteem issues and it seemed like anyone does anything to cater to this image they create to the public now a days. Doing research on this topic, I found some interesting studies done by the World Health Organization linking smoking and
self-esteem.
Portfolio Review Poster for the Winter quarter of 2016 for The Art Institute of New York City. The concept for this poster was the idea of something being so raw and getting stripped down to just what your made of. The flesh color of this piece of meat in this photo that I purchased, was so beautiful to me, that I saw it as the students will be showcasing their true, original, self in their work. I saw us as pieces of meat waiting to be in the new industry ahead of us. We are all one as creatives, but all just different flavors
